My journey toward cleaner living started small. In 2014, I met my partner, Joseph, whose health-conscious habits quickly rubbed off on me. Watching him prioritize what went into his body made me realize just how much I hadn’t thought about the chemicals around me.

But it wasn’t until a few years later, in 2016, that this focus truly became essential. I began experiencing health issues—persistent cysts, digestive troubles, hormonal imbalances—and doctors didn’t have clear answers. That’s when I started looking closer at the hidden chemicals around us.

It began with food. I started reading labels, paying attention to ingredients, and opting for more whole-foods options. But the more I learned, the more I realized food was just one piece of the puzzle. Harmful chemicals were hiding everywhere—in cleaning products, air fresheners, even the so-called “safe” things in our homes.

Did you know that many household products contain known carcinogens? Common items we use daily can contain chemicals that impact our health, without us even realizing it. That discovery was life-changing.

Little by little, I replaced harsh chemicals with natural alternatives. And while my health issues haven’t all disappeared, many of them have improved. I have more energy, fewer symptoms, and a clearer sense of what I want for myself and my home.
